Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Stages Home, LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company ("we," "us") about your use of Room Compass, including roomcompassapp.com and app.roomcompassapp.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
The Service
Room Compass is project-management software for home stagers and designers. It includes tools for projects, inventory, mood boards, design sourcing, presentations, contracts, invoices, and a private portal where your clients can review and pay. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including by team members you add.
- Each plan limits the number of team members. You can change plans at any time in Settings.
- You must be at least 18.
Plans, free trial, and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or annually, as shown on our pricing page, through Stripe.
- New accounts start with a 30-day free trial. A payment card is required to start it. You are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, your plan begins and your card is charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings, and your access continues through the end of the period you have paid for.
- Fees you have already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we say otherwise in writing.
- We may change prices with advance notice. A price change applies from your next billing period.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend access until it is resolved.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Room Compass, including client details, photos, designs, contracts, and messages. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to run the Service for you. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for the accuracy of your contracts, invoices, and communications with your clients.
Payments between you and your clients
Room Compass lets you collect client payments through your own Stripe account. We are not a party to your agreements with your clients, we do not hold your funds, and we take no cut of your client payments. Stripe's terms apply to those payments, and you are responsible for your own refunds, disputes, and taxes. Contracts and templates in the app are tools for your convenience and are not legal advice. Review them with your own advisor.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to harm or deceive others, to upload malicious code, to attempt to access other users' data, to overload or interfere with the Service, or to resell it without our permission.
Third-party services and links
The Service works with third parties such as Stripe, Supabase, Cloudflare, and Resend, and may link to vendor or retail websites. We do not control those services or sites and are not responsible for them.
Availability
We work to keep Room Compass running and to protect your data, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may take it offline for maintenance, and outages can happen. Keep your own copies of anything critical, such as signed contracts and invoices.
Ending your account
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. On request, we will help you export your data for a reasonable period after you cancel. After that, we may delete it.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date above and notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
